SOMERVILLE, Mass. – The Connecticut College men's tennis team dropped an 8-1 decision to No. 4 Tufts University on Sunday morning at the South Tennis Courts.
The Camels battled at the top two doubles spots and came away with a win at No. 2. The duo of
Walker Mulligan (Guilford, Conn.) and
James Serhant III (Hadley, Mass.) powered to an 8-6 final for their team-high ninth win of the season.
Aaron Fleishman (Brookline, Mass.) and
Jules Taylor-Kerman (New York, N.Y.) also put up a fight at the No. 1 position but fell by an 8-6 final.
The Jumbos took all six singles matches in straight sets. Tufts remained unbeaten on the season at 16-0 and improved to 9-0 in league play.
Conn College (4-10 overall, 0-8 NESCAC) will next host Colby College on Saturday, April 22 at 2:00 p.m.
