NEW LONDON, Conn. – The Connecticut College men's tennis team wrapped up the season with a 9-0 defeat against No. 11 Bowdoin College on Sunday afternoon at Luce Field House.
Bowdoin entered the contest ranked fourth in the region in the latest ITA rankings. The Polar Bears (13-3 overall, 8-2 NESCAC) swept through doubles before taking all six singles matches in straight sets.
In singles action,
James Serhant III (Hadley, Mass.) and
Krishh Tipnis (Thane, India) each took six games off their opponents at the No. 4 and 6 spots, respectively.
Jules Taylor-Kerman (New York, N.Y.) also battled at the No. 2 position but fell by a 6-3, 6-2 final.
Conn College ends the season with an overall record of 4-12 (0-10 NESCAC). The Camels are set to return all but one of the 11 players on their current roster.
