WORCESTER, Mass. -- The Connecticut College men's rowing team competed at the Baker Cup on a rainy Sunday morning at Lake Quinsigamond.
The Camels, competing against nationally-ranked programs in No. 3 Tufts University and No. 6 WPI, finished third in the varsity 8 race. The Jumbos won the event for the third straight year, narrowly edging WPI by less than a second. Conn completed the 2,000-meter course in a time of 6:57.1.
Later in the day, Conn's varsity 4 also competed in a head-to-head match-up against Tufts. The Jumbos won the race by more than a minute, with the Camels clocking in at 8:15.63.
Conn College will next compete at the New England Rowing Championship on Saturday, May 6 at Lake Quinsigamond.
