COVENTRY, Conn. -- The Connecticut College men's rowing team raced against three other Connecticut schools on Saturday morning in an event held at Lake Coventry.
The Camels went up against nationally-ranked programs in No. 4 Trinity College and No. 7 Wesleyan University, along with host University of Connecticut. Wesleyan topped Trinity to win the varsity 8 race by more than three seconds. Conn completed the 2,000-meter course in a time of 6:58.8 and finished fourth.
Earlier in the morning Conn's varsity 4 also competed against two boats from UConn. The Camels crossed the line in third place with a time of 8:11.1.
The event served as a tune up for next weekend's New England Rowing Championship, which will take place on Saturday, May 6 at Lake Quinsigamond.
