NORTON, Mass. – The Connecticut College men's swimming and diving team picked up a pair of wins in a tri-meet with Wheaton College and Babson College on Saturday afternoon at Balfour Natatorium.

The Camels topped the Lyons by a score of 208-80 and beat the Beavers by a 216-82 final, improving to 5-0 on the year in head-to-head competition. Conn took first place in 11 events on the day and posted 1-2-3 finishes in four events.

Justin Finkel (Cheshire, Conn.) contributed three individual wins and another in the relay to lead the pack. Matthew Morris (Alexandria, Va.), Evan Lyons (Longmeadow, Mass.) and Gabe Frank (Northbrook, Ill.) each won a pair of events, and Patrick Henry (Livonia, Mich.) rounded out the group with a solo victory.

The Camels set the tone from the opening event, as the team of Morris, Henry, Frank and Finkel won the 200 medley relay by more than a second over Wheaton's top squad. Conn kept the momentum going by taking the top three spots in the 1,000 free, with Lyons (9:40.13) finishing ahead of Matthew Laclef (Bethesda, Md.) and Teddy Batmaca (Amesbury, Mass.).

Conn followed with wins in four of the next five events, with Finkel leading the way with victories in the 200 free (1:42.34) and 50 free (20.95). Will Nash (Chatham, N.J.) and Cooper Voss (Glen Ridge, N.J.) also finished second and third, respectively, in the 200 free. Morris then grabbed the top spot in the 50 back (24.15) while Frank swam to victory in the 100 fly (52.05).

The Camels won the final five individual events to wrap up the meet. Morris collected his second win in the 100 back (50.63), and Henry followed with a win in the 100 breast (59.90). Finkel nabbed his third win in the 500 free (4:40.52) as Batmaca and Zach Quitkin (Stratham, N.H.) rounded out the top-3. The Camels also secured the top-3 spots in the 50 fly as Frank (23.51) edged Jacob Esposito (Hunting Valley, Ohio) and Voss. Lyons then tacked on his second win of the day in the 200 IM (1:58.37).

Conn will next compete at Colby College on Monday, January 15 at 1:00 p.m.
