BRONX, N.Y. – The Connecticut College women's squash team snapped a three-game losing skid, defeating Denison College 5-4, from a neutral court on Friday evening. With the win, Conn improves to 4-7.
Mariam Anwar (Fairfield, Conn.) picked up the first win of the match for Conn, defeating Esme Adelman 3-2. Hannah Preston (South Pasadena, Calif.) picked up a straight set win over Kate Maderlink. Needing victories, Conn got two more straight set wins from Eva Ross (Washington, D.C.) and Magnolia Strouse (Brooklyn Heights, N.Y.). Denison did not have enough players for the final match, giving Conn the game and match victory.
Conn (4-7) stays on neutral court tomorrow, taking on Mount Holyoke and Haverford on the campus of Yale University beginning at 12:30 p.m.
