NEW LONDON, Conn. – The Connecticut College women's squash team returned to Luce Fieldhouse for the final time this season, falling to visiting Bates College 9-0 on Friday evening. With the loss, Conn falls to 6-8.
Bates was strong throughout the afternoon, winning eight of the nine matches in straight sets. Conn's best effort of the day came at seventh singles, where Crystal Dixon (Chicago, Ill.) forced the match to five sets. However, Dixon came up short, falling in the final set 11-7.
Conn (6-8) heads back out on the road, traveling to Clinton, N.Y. to take on Hamilton College tomorrow afternoon at 1:00 p.m.
