WORCESTER, Mass. – The Connecticut College men's rowing team wrapped up the fall season with a strong showing at the Wormtown Chase Regatta on Saturday morning at Lake Quinsigamond.
The Camels put a total of three boats in the water—two in the collegiate 8+ event and one in the collegiate 4+. Conn secured finishes of 16th and 23rd in the field of 26 in the 8+ and took third in the 4+.
Conn's top varsity 8 boat, coxed by
Samira Grossmann-Ferris (Portland, Ore.), clocked in with a time of 16:29.25. The second varsity boat crossed the finish in 18:01.33.
In the 4+ race, the crew of
Vlad Zaitsau (Gilroy, Calif.),
Daniel Wong (Santa Rosa, Calif.),
John McCormack (Lunenburg, Mass.),
Ryan Yanko (Amherst, Mass.) and coxswain
Ben Levine (Greenwich, Conn.) finished ahead of the top boats from Mass Maritime, UConn, New Hampshire and Maine. The Camels posted a time of 19:33.51.
