BRUNSWICK, Maine – The No. 23 Connecticut College women's cross country team finished sixth out of 11 teams at the 2024 NESCAC Championship on Saturday morning at the Pickard Field Cross Country Course on the campus of Bowdoin College.

The Camels finished with 140 points—just two points out of fifth place—and were led by a strong effort from Grace McDonough (Londonderry, N.H.). The junior earned a spot on the All-NESCAC second team by virtue of an eighth-place finish, marking the third straight year that a Conn women's runner has garnered league honors.

Williams took home the team title with 35 points, finishing ahead of runner-up Amherst (87), Tufts (93), Middlebury (111) and Wesleyan (138). Middlebury's Audrey Maclean and Hamilton's Keira Rogan battled the entire 6K race for medalist honors, with the former posting a winning time of 20:21.15 and edging the latter by less than two seconds.

McDonough was the first of multiple Conn runners to set a personal record on the day. She crossed the finish in 21:13.22, shaving more than 38 seconds off her previous best 6K time. The All-NESCAC accolades were also the first of her cross country career.

Conn's next four runners also broke the 22-minute threshold. Abby Williams (Waterville, Maine) posted a PR with a time of 21:52.18 to finish 32nd overall, trimming more than 20 seconds off her previous fastest time. Abby Fernald (Avon, Conn.) and Alsacia Timmerman (Morrisville, Vt.) placed 34th and 35th with times of 21:53.18 and 21:53.83, respectively. Kiera Tallas (Fountain Valley, Calif.) clocked in at 21:58.70—besting her PR by 33 seconds—to finish 39th.

Addie Fuller (Eliot, Maine) and April Schilling (Amherst, Mass.) rounded out Conn's top-7 and both set personal records. Fuller finished 64th in 22:29.55 while Schilling placed 76th in 22:40.66.

Conn will next host the D3 Challenge on Saturday, November 9 at Stenger Farm Park in Waterford, Conn.
