BRISTOL, R.I. – The Connecticut College men's swimming and diving team turned in a dominant performance in a 183-79 victory at Roger Williams University on Saturday afternoon at the Aquatics Center.

The Camels picked up wins in 12 of 14 events and posted several 1-2-3 finishes. Justin Finkel (Cheshire, Conn.) and Carrick Shea (Grafton, Mass.) each supplied a pair of solo victories and contributed to both relay wins. Jack Mattison-Gulotta (Florence, Mass.) and Matthew Morris (Alexandria, Va.) also won two events apiece.

Conn opened the meet by winning the 200 medley relay by less than two-tenths of a second. Nicholas Holovacs (Hingham, Mass.) anchored the group and touched the wall just ahead of RWU's Blake Anderson to give the Camels the early lead.

Conn won the next five events, beginning with Mattison-Gulotta in the 1,000 free (9:46.03). Ian Sullivan (Naple, Fla.) followed with a win in the 200 free (1:48.72), and Morris led the charge in the 100 back (53.97) that saw four Camels battle for the top spot. Shea and Finkel then won their first events of the day, the former in the 100 breast (58:57) and the latter in the 200 fly (1:52.96).

Shea picked up his second solo win in the 100 free (47.84) while Morris did the same in the 200 back (1:58.55). Mattison-Gulotta followed suit in the 500 free (4:44.04), and Finkel coasted to victory in the 100 fly (50.38) by more than three seconds.

After Evan Lyons (Longmeadow, Mass.) supplied a win in the 400 IM (4:15.88), the Camels wrapped up the meet by taking the 200 free relay. Finkel, Shea and Holovacs were joined by Cooper Voss (Glen Ridge, N.J.) in the winning effort.

Conn will next compete at Bowdoin College on Sunday, January 12 at 11:00 a.m.
