MIDDLETOWN, Conn. – The Connecticut College women's track and field team kicked off the 2024-25 season, competing at the Wesleyan Invitational on Saturday.

On the Track

60 Meters

• Abby Illusorio (San Diego, Calif.) finished seventh with a time of 8.43 seconds.

60 Meter Hurdles

• Alina Newman (Santa Monica, Calif.) finished seventh with a time of 11.43 seconds.

4x400 Relay

• Alexis Melvin (Wilmington, Mass.), Illusorio, Naomi Brightman (Cornwall, Vt.), and Newman combined to finish second with a time of 4:33.45.

In the Field

Pole Vault

• Grace Mattaliano (Norfolk, Mass.) finished fifth with a distance of 2.65m.

Long Jump

• Mattaliano finished fourth with a distance of 4.58m.

• Illusorio finished fifth with a distance of 4.55m.

• Brenna O'Brien (North Andover, Mass.) finished eight with a distance of 4.41m.

Triple Jump

• O'Brein finished second with a distance of 9.82m.

Weight Throw

• Kate Stone (Audubon, Pa.) finished seventh with a throw of 9.54m.

Conn returns to action in the new year, as the Camels travel to Boston, Mass. to take part in the Suffolk University Icebreaker on Saturday, January 11th.
