MANAHAWKIN, N.J. — This year more than 500 student-athletes—including seven from Connecticut College—have been recognized as NFHCA Division III Scholars of Distinction.
The Scholars of Distinction program honors undergraduate student-athletes who have exhibited exceptional academic excellence, achieving a cumulative grade-point average of 3.9 or higher throughout the fall semester of the 2023-24 academic year.
Representing the Camels were
Sadie Abuhaidar,
Kendall Arnold,
Abby Krahmer,
Maddie Mason,
Bridget McGann,
Phoebe Shane and
Hannah Webster. Abuhaidar, Arnold, Krahmer and McGann were repeat selections while the rest earned the distinction for the first time in their career.
Last week, a total of 26 Camels—the highest total from a Division III school in the nation— were named to the NFHCA National Academic Squad. The program honors undergraduate collegiate student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative grade-point average of 3.5 or higher through the first semester of the current academic year.
The National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) is a nonprofit organization serving field hockey coaches and supporters of the game from across the United States. The mission of the association is to champion, strengthen, and celebrate field hockey coaches and the game. The NFHCA strives to be the organization that every field hockey coach looks to for the resources to grow in the game and the inspiration to stay in the game.
