Firmin and Koskinen Earn All-NESCAC Honors at NESCAC Track and Field Championships

MEDFORD, Mass. -- The Connecticut College men's track and field team finished eighth with 27 points at the 2024 NESCAC Track and Field Championships, as Jayson Firmin (Dedham, Mass.) and Chris Koskinen (Yarmouth, Maine) earned All-NESCAC honors in the triple jump and pole vault respectively.

On the Track

5000 Meters

  • Brendan Mellitt (Cheshire, Conn.) just missed the podium, finishing fourth with a time of 14:47.87 earning NE D3 qualification.

10000 Meters

  • Matt Scardigno (Port Washington, N.Y.) also just missed out on the podium, claiming fourth with a time of 31:02.53 earning NE D3 qualification.

  • Ethan Bush (Hanover, Mass.) finished 10th with a time of 31:40.70 earning NE D3 qualification.

  • Chris Davis (Dunstable, Mass.) finished 11th with a time of 31:45.05 earning NE D3 qualification.

3000 Meter Steeplechase

  • Ellis Iurilli-Hough (Melrose, Mass.) finished 10th with a time of 9:37.95 earning NE D3 qualification.

In the Field

Pole Vault

  • Koskinen finished second clearing a height of 4.55m earning All-NESCAC honors and NE D3 qualification.

  • Anders Larson (Concrod, N.H.) finished 12 clearing a height of 4.25m earning NE D3 qualification.

Triple Jump

  • Firmin earned All-NESCAC honors finishing second with a distance of 14.00m earning NE D3 qualification.

Conn heads to South Hadley, Mass. to take part in the New England Division III Championships hosted by Mount Holyoke beginning Friday.
