WORCESTER, Mass. -- The Connecticut College men's rowing team competed at the 2024 New England Rowing Championship on Saturday at Lake Quinsigamond.
The Camels put two varsity 8 boats in the water for the event, which featured morning heats followed by sets of afternoon finals. Conn's top boat trimmed six seconds off its morning time to finish second out of two teams in F3, clocking in at 6:47.06. The 2V8 crew placed sixth out of seven teams in the Petite Final with a time of 6:57.51.
Conn also entered a boat in the 2V4 race and finished fourth out of six squads with a time of 8:03.29.
Wesleyan (5:57.59) edged MIT in the 1V8 race while Tufts (6:09.27) took the gold in the 2V8.
Conn College will next compete at the National Invitational Rowing Championship on, May 11-12 at Lake Quinsigamond.
