Bush and Mellitt Earn New England Championship Crowns as Men's Track and Field Posts Best Ever Finish

SOUTH HADLEY, Mass. -- The Connecticut College men's track and field team recorded their best ever finish, claiming tied for fourth with 36 points at the 2024 New England Division III Championships.

On the Track

5000 Meters

  • Brendan Mellitt (Cheshire, Conn.) claimed victory with a season-best time of 14:43.56 earning All-New England honors.

10000 Meters

  • Ethan Bush (Hanover, Mass.) claimed victory with a personal-best time of 31:09.51 earning All-New England honors.

3000 Meter Steeplechase

  • Ellis Iurilli-Hough (Melrose, Mass.) finished fourth with a personal-best time of 9:28.09 earning All-New England honors.

  • The group of Alban, Haime, Cathal Keating (Dover, Mass.), and Dorow finished 10th with a time of 3:26.23.

In the Field

Pole Vault

  • Chris Koskinen (Yarmouth, Maine) finished sixth clearing a height of 4.52m earning All-New England honors.

Triple Jump

  • Jayson Firmin (Dedham, Mass.) earned All-New England honors finishing second with a distance of 14.12m. 

Conn heads to Worcester, Mass. to take part in the 2024 New England Intercollegiate Amateur Athletic Association Track and Field Championships, beginning on Friday.
