WORCESTER, Mass. -- The Connecticut College women's rowing team competed at the 2024 New England Rowing Championship on Saturday at Lake Quinsigamond.

The Camels put four varsity 8 boats in the water for the event, which featured morning heats followed by sets of afternoon finals. Conn's top boat turned in its fastest run of the day in the finals, clocking in with a season-best time of 7:19.46 to finish fourth out of six teams in Final 3. The 2v8 boat, also competing in Final 3, finished third out of five with a time of 7:52.39.

Conn's 3V8 boat posted a time of 8:23.82 and finished second out of two teams in Final 3. The 4V8 crew finished seventh in the Grand Final with a time of 8:17.29. 

MIT took home the gold in the 1V8 and 2V8 races with times of 6:53.06 and 6:55.15, respectively, while Tufts prevailed in the 3V8 (7:14.28) and 4V8 (7:17.39) races. 

Conn College will next compete at the National Invitational Rowing Championship on, May 11-12 at Lake Quinsigamond.
