Women's Track and Field Continues Strong Start as Distance Medley Relay Ranks 2nd Nationally

BOSTON, Mass. – The Connecticut College women's track and field team continued their strong start to the season, competing at Middlebury's New England Small College Invite on Sunday at The Track at New Balance.

On the Track

800 Meters

  • Alexa Estes (Virginia Beach, Va.) finished fourth with a time of 2:15.98 earning NE D3 qualification.

  • Grace McDonough (Londonderry, N.H.) finished fifth with a time of 2:16.05 earning NE D3 qualification.

  • Lilla Kate Tucker (Marietta, Ga.) finished seventh with a time of 2:19.19 earning NE D3 qualification.

Mile

  • Abby Fernald (Avon, Conn.) finished sixth with a time of 5:11.65 earning NE D3 qualification.

3000 Meters

  • Abby Williams (Waterville, Maine) finished fourth with a time of 10:21.17 earning NE D3 qualification.

5000 Meters

  • Molly Donovan (Medfield, Mass.) finished ninth with a time of 20:04.37.

  • Annika Hegde (New York, N.Y.) finished 10th with a time of 20:19.18.

4x400 Relay

Distance Medley Relay

  • The group of Fernald, Tucker, Estes, and McDonough claimed victory with a time of 12:07.89 which ranks second in the nation.

In the field

Conn heads back to Boston, Mass. to take part in the Boston University Terrier Classic beginning on Friday.
