McDonough Sets School Record in the Mile as Women's Track and Field Competes at BU Terrier Classic

BOSTON, Mass. – The Connecticut College women's track and field returned to action on Friday afternoon, competing at the BU Terrier Classic hosted by Boston University.

On the Track

500 Meters

  • Katie Keating (Dorchester, Mass.) finished 26th with a time of 1:22.43, the third fastest time in program history.

800 Meters

  • Alexa Estes (Virginia Beach, Va.) finished 39th with a time of 2:11.56 earning NE D3 qualification.

  • Lilla Kate Tucker (Marietta, Ga.) finished 70th with a time of 2:18.67, earning NE D3 qualification.

  • April Schilling (Amherst, Mass.) finished 88th with a time of 2:22.86, earning NE D3 qualification.

  • Caroline Graziani (Concord, Mass.) finished 93rd with a time of 2:23.55, earning NE D3 qualification.

Mile

  • Grace McDonough (Londonderry, N.H.) finished 58th, setting a new school record with a time of 4:53.24 earning NE D3 qualification.

5000 Meters

  • Abby Williams (Waterville, Maine) finished 47th with a time of 17:42.14 earning NE D3 qualification.

  • Alsacia Timmerman (Morrisville, Vt.) finished 56th with a time of 18:05.20 earning NE D3 qualification.

4x400 Relay

  • The group of Estes, Tucker, Keating, and Abby Illusorio (San Diego, Calif.) finished 29th with a time of 4:09.68.

Conn returns to action on Friday, with two different events, the Tufts Invitational in Medford, Mass. and the Coast Guard Academy Invite in New London, Conn.
