WORCESTER, Mass. -- The Connecticut College men's rowing team opened the season at the Quinsigamond Snake Regatta on Saturday morning at Lake Quinsigamond.

The Camels put four boats in the water on the day, with two boats in the V4+ race and another pair in the V8+. Samira Grossmann-Ferris coxed the 1V4 boat to a runner-up finish in the field of nine, crossing the finish just 10 seconds behind Holy Cross in a time of 15:50.4. The 2V4 boat, guided by Morgan Edenbach, finished sixth in the race with a time of 16:39.7. Conn failed to find the same pace in the V8* race, finishing 18th and 20th overall with times of 15:19.2 and 16:07.1, respectively.

Conn will next compete at the Head of the Housatonic on Saturday, October 11 in Shelton, Conn.
