WATERFORD, Conn. – The Connecticut College men's cross country team finished eighth at the 2025 NESCAC Men's Cross Country Championship on Saturday morning at Harkness Memorial State Park.
No. 4 Tufts topped the field of 11 teams with a score of 30 points, placing four runners in the top seven. The Jumbos finished ahead of No. 7 Williams (57) and No. 15 Amherst (80) and nabbed their first league title since 2012. Conn, which recorded 248 points, finished ahead of Hamilton, Trinity and Bowdoin.
Williams' Eli Welch took individual medalist honors with a time of 24:20.2 over the 8K course. Tufts' Jonah Reisner was hot on his heels, crossing the line in 24:22.6.
Ellis Iurilli-Hough (Melrose, Mass.) was the low stick for the Camels, earning a spot on the All-NESCAC Second Team by virtue of a ninth-place finish. He picked off 82 runners after the 1.65K split and clocked a personal record of 24:37.30.
Ronan Staab (White Plains, N.Y.) was the next across the finish for Conn, placing 78th overall in a time of 26:16.90.
Josh Barzilai (Princeton, N.J.) posted a PR of 26:19.70 to finish 83rd, and
Griffin Selber (State College, Pa.) took 88th in his NESCAC debut with a time of 26:24.80.
Brendan Capodanno (Port Jefferson, N.Y.) rounded out the scoring for the Camels with a time of 26:25.50, good enough for 89th place.
Nicholas DeMarco (Albany, N.Y.) and
Tristen McDonough (Lincoln, R.I.) filled out Conn's top-7. Both posted personal records, with the former finishing in 26:26.10 to and the latter in 26:47.50.
Conn will next host the D3 Challenge on Saturday, November 8 at Stenger Farm Park in Waterford, Conn.
