CANTON, N.Y. – The No. 12 Connecticut College women's cross country team finished third at the 2025 NCAA Mideast Regional on Saturday afternoon at the Ronald C. Hoffmann Cross Country Course.
The top four teams in the standings all hailed from the NESCAC, as No. 1 Williams College captured the team title with 39 points. No. 9 Middlebury College finished runner-up with 96 points and produced the individual medalist in Audrey MacLean. Conn rounded out the top-three with 101 points, matching its best-ever finish (2023) while recording the lowest score in program history.
MacLean covered the 6K course in 21:21.6 and was seven seconds clear of RPI's Jules Bleskoski. Conn's
Grace McDonough (Londonderry, N.H.) finished fourth overall with a time of 21:39.2, the highest individual finish in program history.
The Camels put a total of four runners in the top 25 of the individual standings.
Kiera Tallas (Fountain Valley, Calif.),
Abby Williams (Waterville, Maine) and
Alexa Estes (Virginia Beach, Va.) joined McDonough in earning All-Region honors by virtue of a top-35 finish. Williams picked up the third All-Region nod of her career while both Tallas and McDonough were repeat honorees.
Tallas finished 12th with a time of 22:09.9 while Williams took 23rd in 22:40.5. Estes was the next to cross the line, posting a strong time of 22:46.3 to secure 25th.
April Schilling (Amherst, Mass.) rounded out the scoring with a 37th-place showing, clocking a time of 23:01.9.
Abby Fernald (Avon, Conn.) and
Liz Freeman (Maynard, Mass.) rounded out Conn's top-7 with times of 23:32.5 and 24:48.7, respectively.
With a top-three finish in one of the deepest regions in the country, the Camels are a strong candidate for one of the 22 at-large bids for the 2025 NCAA DIII Championship. The 32-team field will be announced on Sunday at 3:00 p.m. on NCAA.com.
