SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Connecticut College junior Ellis Iurilli-Hough (Melrose, Mass.) finished 48th in the field of 291 runners at the 2025 NCAA Men's Cross Country Championship on Saturday morning at the Roger Milliken Cross Country Course.

Competing in the first NCAA Championship of his career, Iurilli-Hough covered the 8K course in 24:49.4. His time was the fastest by a Camel at the national meet since Jeffrey Love in 2021.

Iurilli-Hough tore through the field, making up considerable ground at every stage of the race. He gained 51 places between the 1K and 2K checkpoints, as well as another 45 between the 3K and 4K markers. He later tracked down 17 runners over the final 1,000 meters, finishing only six seconds out of the top 40.

Iurilli-Hough qualified for the race as an individual, based on his results from last week's NCAA Mideast Regional. He capped a strong season for the Camels in which he earned All-NESCAC Second Team and All-Region honors.

Wisconsin-La Crosse won the team title with 82 points, fending off challenges from SUNY Geneseo (132) and Wartburg (133). Johns Hopkins' Emmanuel Leblond took individual medalist honors with a time of 23:35.0, finishing nearly five seconds ahead of Augsburg's Mohammed Bati.
