NEW LONDON, Conn. – The Connecticut College women's squash team returned home for two matches, hosting Saint Lawrence on Friday and Amherst on Saturday.
On Friday against Saint Lawrence, Conn battled tough but ultimately fell 8-1. Ainsley Ellison (Westfield, N.J.) picked up the lone Camels win, defeating Khissaiyia Spencer in five sets. Other strong performances came from Ariana Michaca (Bronx, N.Y.) who dropped a five-set thriller to Laura Franz, while Angelise Ramirez Palomino (New Haven, Conn.), Gwyneth Perez (New Haven, Conn.), and Aarushi Reddy (Delray Beach, Fla.) each fell in four sets.
On Saturday against Amherst, Conn came up short, falling 9-0. The Camels best performance of the day came from Kendry Perez (Cartagena, Colombia) who hung tough with Anastasiia Krykun at first singles.
Conn (1-2, 0-1 NESCAC) returns to action on Saturday December 6, as the Camels travel to Medford, Mass. to take on Tufts.
