NEW LONDON, Conn. – The Connecticut College women's squash team closed out the fall semester with two games on the road, traveling to Tufts on Saturday and Wesleyan on Sunday.
On Saturday at Tufts, Conn came up short, falling 9-0 to the Jumbos. The Camels best performance of the afternoon came at fifth singles where Ariana Michaca (Bronx, N.Y.) fell 8-11, 8-11, 5-11.
On Sunday at Wesleyan, Conn hung tough, but ultimately came up short, falling 7-2. Kendry Perez (Cartagena, Colombia) opened the day with a four-set win over Mira Bakshi at first singles, as the Camels other victory came from Michaca, also a 3-1 victory at fifth singles.
Conn (1-4, 0-3 NESCAC) returns to action in the new year as the Camels travel to Lewiston, Maine to take on Bates on Friday, January 9 at 5:00 p.m.
