MANAHAWKIN, N.J. – Nearly 1,900 undergraduate student-athletes from more than 150 institutions—including 20 from Connecticut College—were named to the 2024 Division III National Academic Squad on Wednesday morning by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association.

Sponsored by OPA Winning Teams, the NFHCA National Academic Squad program honors undergraduate student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher through the fall semester. All student-athletes are nominated by their NFHCA member coaches.

Impressively, a total of 310 honorees earned the distinction for the fourth consecutive year. Five Camels were among this elite group, which included Rowan Galanis, Bridget Mason, Sophie Moniz, Chloe Therrien and Hannah Webster.

The National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) is a nonprofit organization serving field hockey coaches and supporters of the game from across the United States. The mission of the association is to champion, strengthen, and celebrate field hockey coaches and the game. The NFHCA strives to be the organization that every field hockey coach looks to for the resources to grow in the game and the inspiration to stay in the game.
