Women's Track's Distance Medley Relay Ranks Second Nationally After Performance at BU

BOSTON, Mass. – The Connecticut College women's track and field returned to action, competing at two events, the Boston University Valentine Invitational and the Tufts Stampede Invitational.

On the Track at Boston University

800 Meters

  • Caroline Graziani (Concord, Mass.) finished 174th with a time of 2:22.94 earning NE D3 qualification.

1000 Meters

  • Alexa Estes (Virginia Beach, Va.) finished 16th, setting the school record with a time of 2:52.63, earning NE D3 qualification.

  • Lilla Kate Tucker (Marietta, Ga.) finished 35th with a time of 3:00.14 earning NE D3 qualification.

  • April Schilling (Amherst, Mass.) finished 42nd with a time of 3:04.60 earning NE D3 qualification.

  • Liz Freeman (Maynard, Mass.) finished 46th with a time of 3:09.30 earning NE D3 qualification.

Mile

  • Grace McDonough (Londonderry, N.H.) finished 101st with a time of 4:53.33 earning NE D3 qualification.

3000 Meters

  • Abby Williams (Waterville, Maine) finished 236th with a time of 10:19.28 earning NE D3 qualification.

  • Abby Fernald (Avon, Conn.) finished 238th with a time of 10:19.18 earning NE D3 qualification.

Distance Medley Relay

  • The group of Fernald, Tucker, Estes, and McDonough finished third with a time of 11:41.08 which ranks second in the nation currently.

On the Track at Tufts

400 Meters

  • Abby Ilusorio (San Diego, Calif.) finished seventh with a time of 1:02.95.

800 Meters

  • Kate Moroney (Pleasantville, N.Y.) finished ninth with a time of 2:30.64.

1000 Meters

  • Sara Braslow (Merion, Pa.) finished sixth with a time of 3:11.04 earning NE D3 qualification.

  • Sarah Steudel (Westborough, Mass.) finished seventh with a time of 3:11.19 earning NE D3 qualification.

4x400 Relay

Conn returns to action next weekend, as the Camels travel to Springfield, Mass. to take part in the Springfield Triangle Classic.
