MIDDLEBURY, Vt. – Connecticut College finished in fourth place at the 2025 NESCAC Men's Swimming & Diving Championships on Sunday night at the Middlebury College Natatorium.

The Camels moved up one spot in the standings on the final day thanks to some strong results. Justin Finkel (Cheshire, Conn.) led the charge with his second win of the weekend—and eighth of his career—and was named NESCAC Swimmer of the Year for the third consecutive year. He becomes just the third swimmer in league history to earn the distinction three times.

Finkel made it three straight titles in the 200 fly with a dazzling race in the final NESCAC solo swim of his career. He finished more than three seconds ahead of his nearest competitor, clocking in at 1:44.76 and breaking the pool record he set earlier in the day in prelims.

Finkel also moved into some elite company as one of nine swimmers in NESCAC history to win eight or more individual conference titles. He becomes the third three-time champion in the 200 fly in NESCAC history, as well as the first from Conn College.

The Camels also had four additional swimmers post top-eight results. Evan Lyons (Longmeadow, Mass.) finished as runner-up in the 1,650 free with an NCAA 'B' cut time of 15:35.52, earning All-NESCAC honors for the second time this weekend. Matthew Morris (Alexandria, Va.) captured fifth in the 200 back with a time of 1:48.25, and Jack Mattison-Gulotta (Florence, Mass.) touched the wall in 1:50.66 to take sixth in the 200 fly. Carrick Shea (Grafton, Mass.), who broke the school record in the 200 breast in morning prelims, rounded out the group with a seventh-place finish in 2:02.27.

Six other Camels also picked up points on the night. Ryan Karaca (Schenectady, N.Y.) finished 16th in the consolation final of the 200 back, and Tyler Choedak (Austin, Texas) and Aiden Miller (Westfield, N.J.) posted runner-up finishes in the pre-consolation finals of the 200 back and 100 free, respectively. Stepan Ignatiev (Swampscott, Mass.) finished 21st in the 200 fly to notch the first points of his career, and Ian Sullivan (Naples, Fla.) took 10th while William Moulson (Andover, Mass.) nabbed 16th in the 1,650 free.

The meet ended with the finals of the 400 free relay. Conn's 'A' team took seventh overall while the 'B' squad finished sixth.

Williams took home the team title for the 22nd time in the 24-year history of the event. The Ephs finished with 1,801.5 points, well ahead of Tufts (1,438.5) and Amherst (1,252). Conn finished with 948 points.
