NEW LONDON, Conn. – Five Connecticut College men's swimmers have been selected to compete at the 2025 NCAA Division III Swimming & Diving Championships on March 19-22 in Greensboro, N.C.

Senior Justin Finkel (Cheshire, Conn.), who will be making his fourth NCAA appearance, qualified in the 500 freestyle and the 100 and 200 butterfly. Sophomore Evan Lyons (Longmeadow, Mass.) qualified in the 1,650 free, and Conn's 400 medley relay team of Finkel, junior Matthew Morris (Alexandria, Va.) and first years Carrick Shea (Grafton, Mass.) and Nicholas Holovacs (Hingham, Mass.) also made the cut. Lyons, Morris, Shea and Holovacs will all make their NCAA debuts.

The Camels are coming off a strong weekend at the NESCAC Championships in which they finished fourth overall, broke 11 school records and recorded eight top-3 finishes. Finkel led the way with wins in the 100 and 200 fly en route to being named NESCAC Swimmer of the Year for the third straight year. Lyons finished as runner-up in the 1,650 free and third in the 1,000 free, and the 400 medley relay squad broke the school record by nearly three seconds.

Finkel will look to defend his national titles in the 500 free and 200 fly. This season he owns the second-fastest times in both the 100 and 200 fly, and his time in the 500 free ranks ninth in the nation.

The Camels will also get the chance to compete in several other events due to reaching 'B' cuts. In addition to the 1,650 free, Lyons also made the field for the 500 free and 400 IM. Morris will swim in the 100 and 200 backstroke, and Shea will hit the water for the 100 breaststroke.

A total of 260 participants (236 swimmers and 24 divers) will compete in the men's championships. Student-athletes qualified for the swimming portion of the championships by meeting the established minimum time for the events in which they entered. Divers will be determined by performances achieved at the regional diving meets February 28 – March 1.

The NCAA Championships will be held at the Greensboro Aquatic Center. Tickets can be purchased in advance, and NCAA.com will video stream all sessions of the four-day championships.
