Ithaca Slips Past Men's Tennis

ORLANDO, Fla. – The Connecticut College men's tennis team opened its spring break trip with a 4-3 setback against Ithaca College on Tuesday morning.

The two sides split the six singles contests, but the Bombers won two of three to capture the all-important doubles point that ended up being the difference. Ithaca improved to 2-1 on the season.

Arjun Premkumar (Bangalore, India) and James Serhant III (Hadley, Mass.) won in three sets at Nos. 1 and 6, respectively. Each took their opening set but dropped the second, and both won by 6-4 tallies in the third. Wolf Sohlberg (Espoo, Finland) also earned a straight sets victory at No. 5, only dropping a combined three games.

Sohlberg and Walker Mulligan (Guilford, Conn.) accounted for the lone doubles win. The duo posted a 6-4 victory over Emiliano Pedrero and Siddharth Vaada.

Conn (4-4 overall) will next play Millsaps College on Wednesday, March 12 in Orlando, Fla.
