McDonough Finishes Third in Mile as Track and Field Closes Out NCAA Championships

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The Connecticut College track and field teams wrapped up competition at the 2025 NCAA Division III Indoor Championships with Grace McDonough (Londonderry, N.H.) running in the women's mile final and Matt Scardigno (Port Washington, N.Y.) running in the 3000m. The women's team compiled 12 points to finish 15th, the best team finish at any NCAA Championship in school history.

McDonough ran a personal best and school record time of 4:49.29 to earn a third place finish and secure her second First-Team All-American honors in as many days.

Scardigno competed in his first NCAA Championship event, crossing the line with a time of 8:21.01 to finish 11th and earn Second-Team All-American honors.

Conn's indoor season comes to a close, as the Camels will get ready for the outdoor season which begins next weekend with the Wesleyan Swanson Invitational in Middletown, Conn.
