HADLEY, Mass. – Connecticut College junior
Kate Coughlin (Reading, Mass.) was named New England Small College Athletic Association (NESCAC) Player of the Week for the sport of women's lacrosse, as announced by the league on Monday afternoon.
Coughlin led the Camels to a 2-0 record last week while recording 11 goals and an assist. Coughlin earns the second weekly honor of her career, after picking one up last season.
On Wednesday, Coughlin led the Camels with six points on five goals and one assist in a 17-3 win over Smith. On Saturday, Coughlin matched her career-high in goals, as the junior netted six in the Camels' second straight win over Bowdoin the series, a 15-6 victory. Coughlin finished the week with 11 goals and one assist, adding four ground balls and one caused turnover.
Coughlin currently leads the NESCAC in both goals (26) and points (31).
Conn (4-2 overall, 1-2 NESCAC) will next play on Wednesday against University of New England at 12:30p.m. in Hilton Head, S.C.
