GREENSBORO, N.C. – Six members of the Connecticut College men's swimming and diving team are set to compete at the 2025 NCAA Division III Swimming & Diving Championships on March 19-22 at the Greensboro Aquatic Center.
Head coach
Marc Benvenuti brings his largest group to the championship since 2014, when the Camels placed 12th overall and scored 117.5 points—both program records. Leading the way will be senior
Justin Finkel, a two-time national champion who is making his fourth NCAA appearance. The rest of the squad—junior
Matthew Morris, sophomores
Evan Lyons and
Cam Bizjak and first years
Carrick Shea and
Nicholas Holovacs—will make their NCAA debut.
Conn will compete in 13 events over the course of the four days (schedule below). Preliminaries begin each day at 10:00 a.m. for swimming and 1:00 p.m. for diving, with evening finals slated to start at 6:00 p.m.
The Camels are coming off a strong showing at the NESCAC Championships in which they finished fourth overall, broke 11 school records and recorded eight top-3 finishes. Finkel led the way with wins in the 100 and 200 fly en route to being named NESCAC Swimmer of the Year for the third straight year. Lyons finished as runner-up in the 1,650 free and third in the 1,000 free, and the 400 medley relay squad broke the school record by nearly three seconds.
Finkel will look to defend his national titles in the 500 free and 200 fly. This season he owns the second-fastest times in both the 100 and 200 fly, and his time in the 500 free ranks ninth in the nation.
Bizjak was one of 24 divers from across the country who qualified for the championships, earning his place with a runner-up finish in the 3M event at the NCAA Division III Region 3 Diving Championships. He's the first Conn College men's diver to claim a spot at nationals since 2003.
