GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Connecticut College men's swimming and diving team finished in 16th place following Sunday's final day of competition at the 2025 NCAA Division III Swimming & Diving Championships at the Greensboro Aquatic Center.
The Camels finished with 89 points over the four-day event. Denison cruised to the team title with a total of 463.5, well ahead of runner-up Emory (323.5).
Matthew Morris (Alexandria, Va.) was the only Conn swimmer to score on the final day. He qualified for his second consolation final in as many days after posting a season-best time of 1:47.43 to finish 14th in prelims of the 200 backstroke. He then went even faster in the evening session—finishing 11th in a time of 1:47.36—to earn All-America Second Team honors for the second night in a row.
Earlier in the day, Conn's 400 freestyle relay team of
Justin Finkel (Cheshire, Conn.), Morris,
Carrick Shea (Grafton, Mass.) and
Nicholas Holovacs (Hingham, Mass.) just missed the cut for the consolation final, finishing 17th in the preliminaries with a time of 3:00.55.
Evan Lyons (Longmeadow, Mass.) rounded out the morning with a swim in the 1,650 free. His time of 15:52.16 was the ninth-fastest of the session, and he finished 17th overall following the event's completion during the evening finals.
The Camels enjoyed quite a weekend at the national meet, earning All-America honors in six events while breaking school records in three. Finkel defended his national titles in both the 500 free and 200 butterfly, becoming the school's all-time leader in individual national titles with four. He also broke his own Division III national record in the 200 fly.
