MIDDLETOWN, Conn. – The Connecticut College women's track and field team opened up the outdoor season, competing at the Wesleyan Swanson Invitational.

On the Track

100 Meters

• Blessing Kieh (Monrovia, Liberia) finished fourth with a time of 12.87 earning NESCAC qualification.

• Emmy Castano (Wilton, Conn.) finished 11th with a time of 13.35 earning NESCAC qualification.

• Maya Bruno (Queensbury, N.Y.) finished 18th with a time of 13.90 earning NESCAC qualification.

200 Meters

• Abby Ilusorio (San Diego, Calif.) finished ninth with a time of 27.59 earning NESCAC qualification.

• Castano finished 12th with a time of 27.78 earning NESCAC qualification.

• Kailin Fuller (Bowdoinham, Maine) finished 17th with a time of 28.12 earning NESCAC qualification.

400 Meter Hurdles

• Alina Newman (Santa Monica, Calif.) finished fifth with a time of 1:10.47 earning NESCAC qualification.

• Liz Freeman (Maynard, Mass.) finished sixth with a time of 1:10.96 earning NESCAC qualification.

1500 Meters

• April Schilling (Amherst, Mass.) finished fourth with a time of 4:54.86 earning NESCAC qualification.

• Katie Keating (Dorchester, Mass.) finished 11th with a time of 5:10.08 earning NESCAC qualification.

• Caroline Graziani (Concord, Mass.) finished 13th with a time of 5:10.62 earning NESCAC qualification.

• Freeman finished 15th with a time of 5:11.69 earning NESCAC qualification.

• Chase Ireland (Prospect, Conn.) finished 17th with a time of 5:12.99 earning NESCAC qualification.

• Julia Coyle (Pomfret Center, Conn.) finished 19th with a time of 5:14.28 earning NESCAC qualification.

5000 Meters

• Mary Lonergan (Andover, Mass.) finished third with a time of 19:19.40 earning NESCAC qualification.

4x400 Relay

• The group of Ilusorio, Camille Cortes (Annandale, Va.), Naomi Brightman (Cornwall, Vt.), and Fuller claimed victory with a time of 4:12.49.

• The group of Keating, Schilling, Graziani, and Mia Wolpe () finished second with a time of 4:16.11.

In the Field

Pole Vault

• Grace Mattaliano (Norfolk, Mass.) finished third clearing a height of 3.10m, tying the school record, and earning NESCAC qualification.

Long Jump

• Mattaliano finished 18th with a jump of 4.64m earning NESCAC qualification.

Triple Jump

• Brenna O'Brien (North Andover, Mass.) finished eighth with a jump of 9.66m earning NESCAC qualification.

Conn returns to action next weekend as the Camels travel to Smithfield, R.I. to participate in the Bryant Black and Gold Invitational.
