Men's Track and Field Has Solid Weekend at Silfen Invitational

NEW LONDON, Conn. – The Connecticut College men's track and field team returned to action hosting the 2025 Silfen Invitational.

On the Track

100 Meters

  • Luke Alban (Piedmont, Calif.) finished fourth with a time of 11.10 earning NESCAC qualification.

  • Justin Dawes (Yarmouth, Maine) finished 14th with a time of 11.54 earning NESCAC qualification.

  • Brian Gibson (Andover, Mass.) finished 15th with a time of 11.57 earning NESCAC qualification.

  • Dylan Haime (Bronx, N.Y.) finished 17th with a time of 11.66 earning NESCAC qualification.

  • Colin Blades-Thomas (Cleveland Heights, Ohio) finished 19th with a time of 11.70 earning NESCAC qualification.

200 Meters

  • Wesley Schreiber (New York, N.Y.) finished 15th with a time of 23.48 earning NESCAC qualification.

800 Meters

  • Henry Pfeifer (West Orange, N.J.) finished 13th with a time of 1:59.46 earning NESCAC qualification.

  • Malcolm Frank-Knight (Milton, Mass.) finished 26th with a time of 2:01.41 earning NESCAC qualification.

  • Kevin Lieue (Bellevue, Wash.) finished 27th with a time of 2:01.41 earning NESCAC qualification.

  • David Iacino (Burlington, Conn.) finished 34th with a time of 2:02.96 earning NESCAC qualification.

  • Joao Ferreira (Lisbon, Portugal) finished 36th with a time of 2:03.27 earning NESCAC qualification.

1500 Meters

  • Evan Lyons (Longmeadow, Mass.) finished 21st with a time of 4:14.42 earning NESCAC qualification.

  • Jacob Bright (New Hope, Pa.) finished 26th with a time of 4:16.94 earning NESCAC qualification.

  • Josh Barzilai (Princeton, N.J.) finished 36th with a time of 4:19.87 earning NESCAC qualification.

  • Dax Arnold (New York, N.Y.) finished 37th with a time of 4:19.87 earning NESCAC qualification.

5000 Meters Elite

  • Matt Scardigno (Port Washington, N.Y.) claimed victory with a time of 14:20.06 earning NESCAC and NE D3 qualification.

  • Brendan Capodanno (Port Jefferson, N.Y.) finished 22nd with a time of 15:36.88 earning NESCAC qualification.

  • Nicholas DeMarco (Albany, N.Y.) finished 24th with a time of 15:40.74 earning NESCAC qualification.

  • Deem Quinn (Cranston, R.I.) finished 30th with a time of 16.03.07 earning NESCAC qualification.

  • Anthony Belford (Bay Shore, N.Y.) finished 33rd with a time of 16:18.90 earning NESCAC qualification.

5000 Meters

  • Blake Rogers (Riverside, R.I.) finished eighth with a time of 16:11.95 earning NESCAC qualification.

  • Ronan Staab (White Plains, N.Y.) finished 14th with a time of 16:29.25 earning NESCAC qualification.

110 Meter Hurdles

  • Evan Rawlings (Mansfield, Mass.) finished third with a time of 15.98 earning NESCAC qualification.

400 Meter Hurdles

  • Errol Apostolopoulos (Marblehead, Mass.) finished sixth with a time of 59.79 earning NESCAC qualification.

  • Owen Phelan (North Andover, Mass.) finished 11th with a time of 1:00.89 earning NESCAC qualification.

3000m Steeplechase

  • Ellis Iruilli-Hough (Melrose, Mass.) finished fourth with a time of 9:59.45 earning NESCAC and NE D3 qualification.

  • Maximilian Bennett (Watertown, Mass.) finished 12th with a time of 10:29.95 earning NESCAC qualification.

In the Field

Pole Vault

  • Chris Koskinen (Yarmouth, Maine) claimed victory, clearing 4.55m earning NESCAC and NE D3 qualification.

  • Anders Larson (Concord, N.H.) finished fifth clearing 3.95m earning NESCAC qualification.

Long Jump

  • Apostolopoulos finished third with a jump of 6.34m earning NESCAC qualification.

  • Larson finished ninth with a jump of 5.80m earning NESCAC qualification.

  • Brian Gibson (Andover, Mass.) finished 12th with a jump of 5.67m earning NESCAC qualification.

Triple Jump

  • Jayson Firmin (Dedham, Mass.) finished second with a jump of 13.36m earning NESCAC and NE D3 qualification.

  • Jack Davis (New Canaan, Conn.) finished seventh with a distance of 11.97m earning NESCAC qualification.

Decathlon

  • Graham Josephson (Stow, Mass.) finished fourth totaling 5198 points, highlighted by second place finishes in both the 400m and the javelin throw.

Conn returns to action next weekend as the Camels travel to Hartford, Conn. to compete in the Trinity College Invitational.
