Women's Track and Field Continues Strong Spring at Silfen Invitational

NEW LONDON, Conn. – The Connecticut College women's track and field team returned to action, hosting the 2025 Silfen Invitational.

On the Track

100 Meters

  • Abby Ilusorio (San Diego, Calif.) finished seventh with a time of 13.18 earning NESCAC qualification.

  • Emmy Castano (Wilton, Conn.) finished eighth with a time of 13.30 earning NESCAC qualification.

  • Maya Bruno (Queensbury, N.Y.) finished 21st with a time of 13.86 earning NESCAC qualification.

200 Meters

  • Blessing Kieh (Monrovia, Liberia) finished third with a time of 25.47 earning NESCAC and NE D3 qualification.

  • Castano finished ninth with a time of 27.40 earning NESCAC qualification.

  • Camille Cortes (Annandale, Va.) finished 23rd with a time of 28.29 earning NESCAC qualification.

  • Alexis Melvin (West Springfield, Mass.) finished 27th with a time of 28.48 earning NESCAC qualification.

  • Bruno finished 30th with a time of 28.61 earning NESCAC qualification.

400 Meters

  • Alexa Estes (Virginia Beach, Va.) claimed victory with a time of 59.50 earning NESCAC and NE D3 qualification.

  • Kailin Fuller (Bowdoinham, Maine) finished third with a time of 1:01.39 earning NESCAC qualification.

  • Cortes finished 13th with a time of 1:05.09 earning NESCAC qualification.

  • Caroline Graziani (Concord, Mass.) finished 14th with a time of 1:05.42 earning NESCAC qualification.

800 Meters Elite

  • Estes claimed victory with a time of 2:10.71 earning NESCAC and NE D3 qualification.

  • April Schilling (Amherst, Mass.) finished second with a time of 2:20.29 earning NESCAC and NE D3 qualification.

  • Lilla Kate Tucker (Marietta, Ga.) finished third with a time of 2:20.31 earning NESCAC and NE D3 qualification.

  • Graziani finished 15th with a time of 2:25.12 earning NESCAC qualification.

  • Cleo Kilpatrick (Minneapolis, Minn.) finished 26th with a time of 2:28.52 earning NESCAC qualification.

  • Katie Keating (Dorchester, Mass.) finished 27th with a time of 2:29.37 earning NESCAC qualification.

  • Chase Ireland (Prospect, Conn.) finished 28th with a time of 2:29.42 earning NESCAC qualification.

  • Kate Moroney (Pleasantville, N.Y.) finished 30th with a time of 2:29.89 earning NESCAC qualification.

800 Meters

  • Grace McDonough (Londonderry, N.H.) claimed victory with a time of 2:13.77 earning NESCAC and NE D3 qualification.

1500 Meters Elite

  • McDonough claimed victory with a school record time of 4:27.16 earning NESCAC and NE D3 qualification.

  • Liz Freeman (Maynard, Mass.) finished 23rd with a time of 5:03.40 earning NESCAC qualification.

  • Phoebe Wood (Hood River, Ore.) finished 30th with a time of 5:12.68 earning NESCAC qualification.

1500 Meters

  • Abby Fernald (Avon, Conn.) claimed victory with a time of 4:53.82 earning NESCAC qualification.

5000 Meters Elite

  • Abby Williams (Waterville, Maine) finished third with a time of 17:34.91 earning NESCAC and NE D3 qualification.

5000 Meters

  • Olivia Ferraro (Cheshire, Conn.) finished seventh with a time of 20:06.22 earning NESCAC qualification.

1000 Meters

  • Alsacia Timmerman (Morrisville, Vt.) finished third with a time of 36:50.62 earning NESCAC and NE D3 qualification.

  • Gabbie Mogavero (West Springfield, Mass.) finished 10th with a time of 40:28.60 earning NESCAC and NE D3 qualification.

  • Caitlin Bird (Shrewsbury, Mass.) finished 16th with a time of 40:55.64 earning NESCAC and NE D3 qualification.

400 Hurdles

  • Alina Newman (Santa Monica, Calif.) finished second with a time of 1:08.40 earning NESCAC and NE D3 qualification.

  • Freeman finished fifth with a time of 1:11.63 earning NESCAC qualification.

3000 Steeplechase Elite

  • Kiera Tallas (Fountain Valley, Calif.) finished second with a time of 11:20.94 earning NESCAC and NE D3 qualification.

  • Julia Coyle (Pomfret Center, Conn.) finished 12th with a time of 12:05.95 earning NESCAC and NE D3 qualification.

3000 Steeplechase

  • Kilpatrick claimed victory with a time of 12:15.22 earning NESCAC qualification.

  • Annika Hegde (New York, N.Y.) finished second with a time of 12:59.01 earning NESCAC qualification.

4x100 Relay

  • The group of Kieh, Castano, Ilusorio, and Fuller claimed victory with a time of 49.92.

4x400 Relay

  • The group of Ilusorio, Tucker, Keating, and Estes finished second with a time of 4:12.86.

4x800 Relay

  • The group of Williams, Coyle, Tallas, and Schilling claimed victory with a time of 9:54.18.

In the Field

Triple Jump

  • Brenna O'Brien (North Andover, Mass.) finished fifth with a distance of 9.81m earning NESCAC qualification.

Discus

  • Kate Stone (Audubon, Pa.) finished sixth with a throw of 29.04m earning NESCAC qualification.

Conn returns to action next weekend as the Camels travel to Hartford, Conn. to take part in the Trinity College Invitational.
