MIDDLETOWN, Conn. – Chris Koskinen (Yarmouth, Maine) and Matt Scardigno (Port Washington, N.Y.) claimed victory in the pole vault and 10000 meters, respectively, as the Connecticut College men's track and field team scored 29 points to finish 10th at the 2025 NESCAC Championships.
Koskinen won the pole vault for the third time in his career, becoming Conn's first three-time champion in a single event. He broke his own school record with a height of 5.06 meters, clearing the bar on his first attempt. He also broke the NESCAC meet record of 4.85 meters set by John Natalone (Middlebury) in 2019.
Scardigno claimed victory in the 10000 meters with a time of 31:07.41. He is the first Camel to earn a win on the track since 2018, and the second to do so in the 10000 meters (Adam Fitzgerald, 2003).
It marked just the second time in school history that teammates on the men's squad earned NESCAC titles in the same season. Tope Adekanbi (high jump) and Marc Proto (long jump) also accomplished the feat in 1998.
