HADLEY, Mass. – A pair of Connecticut College men's lacrosse players were honored by the New England Small College Athletic Conference on Thursday afternoon as the league announced its annual awards.

Senior Nick McLaughlin (Wilbraham, Mass.) was named to the All-NESCAC First Team while junior Liam Horkan (Malden, Mass.) landed a spot on the All-NESCAC Second Team. A total of 35 student-athletes were recognized between the two teams. All selections were determined by a vote of the conference head coaches.

McLaughlin and Horkan each received all-league honors for the first time in their careers. They are the first Conn College teammates to earn the distinction in the same season since 2017.

"We are very excited and happy for Nick and Liam," said head coach Jim Nagle. "It is a well-deserved honor for both of them. The All-NESCAC team is among the most difficult postseason honors to make in the sport of lacrosse."

McLaughlin, a team captain and short-stick midfielder, started and played in all 15 games in his final season with the Camels. He recorded a career-best nine goals and five assists for 14 points, and he ranked second on the team with 43 ground balls. Six of his nine tallies came in league action, which included his first collegiate hat trick at Bowdoin.

Horkan led Conn's attack with a career-best 39 goals and eight assists for 47 points. He ranked seventh in the NESCAC in goals per game (2.60), and his goal total tied for ninth-most in a single season in school history. He also recorded eight multi-goal games, scored four or more goals in five contests, and notched his 100th career point at Coast Guard while netting a career-high eight goals.

Conn College finished the 2025 season with an overall record of 7-8 (2-8 NESCAC). The Camels went 5-0 in non-conference play and also picked up victories over Colby and Trinity in league action.
