NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. – A trio of Connecticut College women's lacrosse players were honored by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) on Friday as the governing body announced their All-Region teams.

Seniors Aine Downey (Brookline, Mass.) and Sydney Weber (Hanover, Mass.) and junior Kate Coughlin (Reading, Mass.) all earned a spot on the All-Berkshire Region Second Team. A total of 256 student-athletes were recognized across the eight regions. These student-athletes are now eligible to be named to a national IWLCA All-American team, which will be announced on May 23.

Downey earned all-region honors for the third time in her career, while both Coughlin and Weber earned it for the first time. The three selections are the most for Conn, since the Camels had four all-region selections in 2015.

Downey earns her third career All-Berkshire Region honor after being named to the second team in 2022 and 2024. The senior started all 15 games in her final season, appearing all over the stat sheet. She finished third on the team in scoring with 40 points on a career-best 32 goals and eight assists. Additionally, she ranked second on the team in draw controls with 39, while causing 15 turnovers and scooping up 26 ground balls. Downey ends her career ranking third in draw controls, tied fourth in ground balls, and sixth in caused turnovers.

Coughlin started and played in all 15 games, leading Conn in scoring, en route to her first All-Region nod. The junior tallied 55 points on a career-high 44 goals and 11 assists. Coughlin's goals and points both ranked seventh in the NESCAC while she was also named NESCAC Player of the Week on March 17 after recording 11 goals and one assist across wins over Smith and Bowdoin.

Weber closes out her career earning her first All-Region selection after starting every game in her final season. The senior was a force on draws and on the defensive end of the field, finishing fourth in the conference with 82 draw controls, the third most in a season in program history. She added 37 ground balls which led outfield players in the NESCAC, while chipping in 21 caused turnovers and one goal and one assist. Weber concludes her career ranking fourth in draw controls and eighth in caused turnovers.

Conn College finished the 2025 season with an overall record of 7-8 (2-8 NESCAC). The Camels went 5-0 in non-conference play and defeated No. 10 Amherst 12-10 for their first win over the Mammoths since 2015.
