BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — The Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches (ACWPC) announced its annual Division III awards on Wednesday with one member of the Connecticut College women's water polo team recognized on the All-American Teams.

Junior Emma Luna (Wahiawa, Hawaii) earned All-American Second Team honors for the first time, after earning All-American Honorable Mention in 2023. Luna led the team in scoring with 62 points on 46 goals and 16 assists. Defensively, Luna added 16 steals and seven field blocks, while also drawing 17 ejections.

"I am very glad Emma was recognized by her peers. She clearly deserves the honor of second team," said head coach Matt Anderson. "Emma is a complete player! Inside, outside, center, she's capable in every zone in the pool. She is our captain and has a wonderful disposition towards players referees, whomever it is she is dealing with. She understands the importance of staying in control mentally. She never wants to look at the stat sheet after a game and probably couldn't even tell you what her season totals were, her focus is getting herself and her teammates to play better which she knows will lead to victory. She's capable of starting on any team in the country and that includes most D1's and D2.'s I'm glad that we have her here at Connecticut College."

Conn College finished the regular season at 5-11 overall and 1-7 in CWPA play, finishing the CWPA Championships in seventh place.
