Men's Rowing Races at NERC

5/3/2025 7:17:00 PM

WORCESTER, Mass. -- The Connecticut College men's rowing team took part in the New England Rowing Championships on Saturday at Lake Quinsigamond.

The Camels competed in two morning heats but just one afternoon final, as thunderstorms canceled all but the 1V8 finals. Trinity came out on top in the grand final despite tough racing conditions that slowed boats across the board.

Conn's 1V8 crew clocked a time of 6:48 in its morning heat to finish fifth, landing a spot in the third final. Later in the day, the Camels beat out Mass Maritime in a head-to-head battle and crossed the finish in 8:14.

In its 2V8 heat, Conn posted a time of 7:07 to finish fifth out of six boats. The Camels were slated to compete in the petite finals before the weather altered the schedule.

Conn returns to action at the National Invitational Rowing Championships--which also doubles as the NESCAC Championship--on Sunday, May 11 at Lake Quinsigamond.
