NEW ORLEANS, La. – The Connecticut College men's and women's track and field teams—along with nine individual Camels—were recently honored by the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).

Both programs were recognized as a USTFCCCA All-Academic Team for having a cumulative grade point average of 3.1 or higher. Under head coach Ned Bishop, the women's program finished with a 3.65 GPA. The men's program finished with a 3.51 GPA under head coach Sam Alexander.

The Camels also had nine student-athletes named USTFCCCA All-Academic selections for their academic and athletic accomplishments. Alexa Estes, Abby Fernald, Blessing Kieh, Grace McDonough, Kiera Tallas, Alsacia Timmerman, and Lilla Kate Tucker all earned the honor on the women's side, as Chris Koskinen and Matt Scardigno were recipients for the men's squad. Koskinen earned the distinction for the fourth time in his career, as both Estes and McDonough were honored for the third time, while Fernald and Tucker were repeat selections.

To qualify for USTFCCCA All-Academic honors, a student-athlete must have compiled a cumulative GPA of 3.30 or higher and have (1) competed in an NCAA Indoor or Outdoor Championship or (2) finished the regular season ranked in the national top-50 in an individual event or in the national top-35 in a relay event on TFRRS.
