NEW LONDON, Conn. — Connecticut College has hired Cam Chadwick as assistant coach of the men's and women's tennis programs, as announced on Tuesday afternoon by head coach Jakob Klaeson

A former collegiate player who has coaching experience at the high school level, Chadwick will begin his new role with the Camels on Monday, September 22. The Conn College men's team opens the fall season against Coast Guard Academy on September 28, and the women's team kicks off the year at Springfield College on October 4.

"I'm very happy to have Cam joining our program as the assistant coach," said Klaeson. "His experience, eagerness to be part of our journey, and passion for coaching and helping others make him a perfect fit for our culture here at Conn."

Chadwick has been a member of the boy's tennis coaching staff at South Kingstown High School since 2019. A graduate of South Kingstown, he helped the Rebels to three straight state titles as a player under legendary coach Andy Carr.

Chadwick played a single season of tennis at Rhode Island College, earning All-Little East honors in both singles (first team) and doubles (second team) as a freshman. He finished 9-8 (.529) at No. 1 singles and 14-3 (.824) at No. 2 doubles, establishing a new program record for doubles wins in a season.

A native of Narragansett, RI, Chadwick finished his academic career at the University of Rhode Island and graduated with a degree in communications.
