NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. -- David Woodford has accepted an assistant coaching position with the Merrimack College men's ice hockey program.
Woodford returns to his alma mater, where he spent four years as the Lance Brady Video Assistant for the Warriors. He spent the past two years on the benches of Connecticut College, where he served as top assistant and video coordinator for the Camels under head coach Jim Ward.
"We are happy for David as he returns to his alma mater as a Hockey East Assistant Coach," said Ward. "In his two years at Connecticut College he made an impact as a coach, recruiter and mentor. We wish him all the best moving forward!"
Woodford played an instrumental role in Conn's recent success, which includes back-to-back NESCAC Championship berths. Through his two seasons, the Camels won 14 NESCAC games, the most in a two-year stretch in a decade.
