NEW LONDON, Conn. – The Connecticut College women's squash team returned to action with a three game swing through Maine over the weekend, competing at Bates, at Colby, and at Bowdoin.
On Friday at Bates, Conn fell 6-3, with Kimberly Lucero (New York, N.Y.), Natalie Drew (Lititz, Pa.) and Magnolia Strouse (Brooklyn Heights, N.Y.) picking up victories. Lucero won in five sets, while Drew picked up a straight-set win over Maeve Mufson.
On Saturday at Colby, Conn fell 9-0. The best performance on the day for the Camels came at fifth singles, where Ainsley Ellison (Westfield, N.J.) battled tough but ultimately fell in five sets.
On Sunday at Bowdoin, Conn once again came up short, falling 9-0. Kendry Navas (Cartagena, Colombia) provided the best performance for the Camels at first singles, ultimately falling in four sets, with the final set going to extra points.
Conn (1-7, 0-6 NESCAC) returns home on Wednesday afternoon to take on William Smith at 12:00 p.m. in the Luce Fieldhouse Squash Courts.
