NEW LONDON, Conn. – The Connecticut College women's squash team returned home and cruised to a 9-0 win over William Smith on Wednesday afternoon from the Luce Fieldhouse Squash Courts.
Seven Camels claimed victory in straight sets, as Gwyneth Perez (New Haven, Conn.), Miranda Medina (Houston, Texas), Ainsley Ellison (Westfield, N.J.), Ariana Michaca (Bronx, N.Y.), Kimbery Lucero (New York, N.Y.), Sienna Maloney (New York, N.Y.), and Natalie Drew (Lititz, Pa.) all picked up sweeps. Kendry Navas (Cartagena, Colombia) dropped the first set, before winning the next three to earn victory in four sets, while Aarushi Reddy (Delray Beach, Fla.) trailed 2-1, before dominating the final two sets to earn the five set win.
Conn (2-7, 0-6 NESCAC) returns to action on Saturday as the Camels travel to Middletown, Conn. to take on Denison in day one of the Connecticut Round Robin.
