Women's Squash Goes 1-1 in Connecticut Round Robin

NEW LONDON, Conn. – The Connecticut College women's squash team returned to action going 1-1 at the Connecticut Round Robin, falling to Denison on Saturday before defeating Haverford on Sunday.

Conn battled tough on Saturday against Denison, but ultimately fell short 7-2. The Camels two wins came at second and third singles as both Aarushi Reddy (Delray Beach, Fla.) and Gwyneth Perez (New Haven, Conn.) picked up 3-1 victories.

Conn bounced back on Sunday, dominating Haverford and coming away with a 9-0 victory. Six of the nine wins for the Camels came via the sweep, as Kendry Navas (Cartagena, Colombia), Reddy, Ariana Michaca (Bronx, N.Y.), Kimbery Lucero (New York, N.Y.), Sienna Maloney (New York, N.Y.), and Natalie Drew (Lititz, Pa.) all won 3-0. The other three wins for Conn came from Perez, Miranda Medina (Houston, Texas), and Ainsley Ellison (Westfield, N.J.) in four sets.

Conn (3-8, 0-6 NESCAC) returns to match play as the Camels host Hamilton at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 31st in the Luce Fieldhouse Squash Courts.
