McDonough Sets School Record in 3K as Women's Track and Field Runs at Suffolk Ice Breaker

BOSTON, Mass. – Grace McDonough (Londonderry, N.H.) set the school record in the 3000 Meters as the Connecticut College women's track and field team returned to action competing at the Suffolk Ice Breaker at the Track at New Balance.

400 Meters

  • Alina Newman (Santa Monica, Calif.) finished fifth with a time of 1:00.72.

1000 Meters

  • Lilla Kate Tucker (Marietta, Ga.) finished second with a time of 2:58.91 earning NE D3 qualification.

  • April Schilling (Amherst, Mass.) finished third with a time of 3:02.32 earning NE D3 qualification.

  • Caroline Graziani (Concord, Mass.) finished eighth with a time of 3:13.20.

  • Juliet Provost (Seekonk, Mass.) finished ninth with a time of 3:15.09.

Mile

  • Alexa Estes (Virginia Beach, Va.) claimed victory with a time of 4:59.44 earning NE D3 qualification.

3000 Meters

  • McDonough claimed victory with a school record time of 9:45.85 earning NE D3 qualification.

  • Abby Williams (Waterville, Maine) finished eighth with a time of 10:15.89 earning NE D3 qualification.

4x400 Relay

  • The group of Estes, Tucker, Graziani, and Schilling finished fifth with a time of 4:09.12.

Conn returns to action on Saturday as the Camels travel to Springfield, Mass. to take part in the Springfield Massasoit Classic.
