HADLEY, Mass. – Connecticut College sophomore Will Lawrence (Bethesda, Md.) was named New England Small College Athletic Conference Player of the Week for the sport of men's ice hockey, as announced by the league on Monday afternoon.

Lawrence factored in on six of the seven goals the Camels scored last weekend in a split with Trinity and Wesleyan. The sophomore led the Camels with six points on two goals and four assists, adding three blocks. On Friday night in a 4-2 win over the Bantams, Lawrence recorded three points on a goal and two assists, including the tying goal late in the second period, before adding an assist on the insurance marker late in the third, as the Camels secured their first season sweep of Trinity since 2008-09. Against the Cardinals, Lawrence added three more points, assisting Conn's first two goals and added a redirect goal in the third period.

"I am happy for Will and his recognition as Player of the Week," said head coach Jim Ward. "He is a consistent threat when he has the puck on his stick in the offensive zone, and he brings a high level of energy and enthusiasm to the rink everyday."

Lawrence becomes the first Camel to earn Player of the Week honors for men's ice hockey since Brett Moccia in 2023, and currently leads the team with 18 points on eight goals and 10 assists.

Conn (7-8-1 overall, 3-6-1 NESCAC) returns to action on Friday night as the Camels host Williams at 7:00 p.m. in Dayton Arena.
