NEW ORLEANS - The Connecticut College men's and women's cross country teams—along with seven individual members—were recently recognized for their academic achievements by the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).
Both programs were named 2025 All-Academic Teams. In order to qualify for All-Academic distinction, teams must have a cumulative GPA of 3.1 on a 4.0 scale, including the most recent grading period, among other qualifiers. The Camels checked in with team GPAs of 3.66 on the women's side and 3.57 on the men's.
Additionally, five members of the women's team and two from the men's were recognized as All-Academic Athletes. For individual honors, student athletes must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.3 on a 4.0 scale and finish in the top-25 percent of their respective regional championship meet.
Abby Williams (Waterville, Maine) earned the distinction for the third time in her career, and both
Grace McDonough (Londonderry, N.H.) and
Kiera Tallas (Fountain Valley, Calif.) were repeat selections.
Alexa Estes (Virginia Beach, Va.) and
April Schilling (Amherst, Mass.) were first-time honorees for the women's team, as were
Ellis Iurilli-Hough (Melrose, Mass.) and
Ronan Staab (White Plains, N.Y.) for the men's squad.
